NIGHTLIFE IN SITGES
When Sitges comes alive
Bear Week at night isn't something that happens behind the doors of a single venue. It happens in the streets.
People gather outside the bars, run into friends, move between the streets and Bear Village, stop for a drink somewhere and eventually move on again.
That's probably the first thing to understand about nightlife here: you don't really go to one place for the night. You become part of the crowd moving through Sitges.

BEAR VILLAGE

THE OFFICIAL HUB
Bear Village is the main official hub of Bear Week nightlife, located on Passeig de la Ribera, right by the seafront.
This is where you'll find the event's organised evening entertainment, with DJs, performances and parties bringing large crowds together.
But don't think of Bear Village as somewhere everyone enters and stays for the entire night. It works as part of a much bigger flow.
People move between the Village and the surrounding streets throughout the evening. When something is happening there, the crowd moves towards it. Later, many people head straight back into central Sitges and the bars.
YOU'LL HEAR THIS NAME

Welcome to Judgement Square
Don't look for Judgement Square on an official Sitges map.
It's the nickname for Plaça de la Indústria, where Carrer de Joan Tarrida meets Carrer del Marquès de Montroig, right in the heart of Sitges' nightlife area.
With bars and terraces surrounding the crossroads and chairs facing the street, sitting there naturally turns into watching the constant stream of people walking past.
And that's where the joke comes from.
Everyone sitting around the square appears to be watching — and, of course, judging — everyone walking through it.
The reality is much friendlier than the name suggests. It's one of those places where people stop, talk and watch Bear Week go by.
It's also a remarkably effective meeting point. Lose your friends? Looking for someone? There's a very good chance they'll pass through Judgement Square eventually.
BAR HOPPING
The bars are part of the streets
You don't really need a bar itinerary for Bear Week. Part of the fun is simply moving around and seeing where the crowd takes you.
Start around Judgement Square, where Parrots Pub & Terrace and Central Bar face the square and make it one of the easiest places to stop for a drink, meet friends and watch everyone go by.
From there, walk into Carrer de Joan Tarrida, one of the main nightlife streets during Bear Week. Within a very short stretch you'll find places such as El Horno, XXL, La Villa, Man Bar, CoX and Runway Terrace Bar. Around the corner, on Carrer del Marquès de Montroig, you'll also find BOYS BAR Sitges.
But don't think of these as a checklist. Some places will be packed while others are quieter, and that can change throughout the night. Stop somewhere because you like the atmosphere, because you see people you know or simply because that's where the crowd seems to be heading.
Have a drink, walk a little further, go to Bear Village, come back and start again.
That's basically how a Bear Week night works.
BEYOND THE STREETS
What about parties?
There are also organised parties and special events during Bear Week, but I wouldn't build this page around a fixed list.
Schedules, venues and parties can change from one edition to the next. Bear Village has its own programme, and other events may be announced around Bear Week.
If there's a particular party you want to attend, check the current year's programme once you're planning your trip.
The useful thing to know before you arrive is that you don't need a ticket to experience Bear Week nightlife. A huge part of it happens naturally in central Sitges.
MY TAKE
Don't over-plan your night
I wouldn't plan a Bear Week night bar by bar.
I'd head into the streets, see who's around and let the night develop from there. Go to Bear Village when there's something you want to see, come back, stop at Judgement Square, have a drink somewhere and keep moving.
Some of my favourite moments aren't about a particular bar or party at all. They're the people you unexpectedly run into while walking from one place to another.
That's what makes Bear Week nightlife different for me: the night isn't just happening inside the venues. It's happening everywhere in between.
ONE LAST THING
Just go out and walk
Once you're in central Sitges at night, you won't need much help finding Bear Week. Follow the streets, follow the crowd and see where the night takes you.
